This is the lake pre-corpse jumping/dumping.

See the booth in the middle? Yeah, people used to be able to walk to it and chill, but then they TORE DOWN THE BRIDGE that leads to the booth, and then they fenced off the lake with bamboo fence, because they didn't want people jumping.

And rumours have it that the chem labs dump all their waste in there.
